The 26-foot JC TriToon will be put to use in the Club’s Camp Fletcher program.
Long-time Board Member, Randy Parris, along with his wife Cindy, have donated a 1999 JC TriToon to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region (BGCOR) just in time for the Club’s #60for60 birthday/anniversary celebration.
“We are so grateful for the many years of support that Randy and Cindy have shown the Club, and this latest donation is just one example of their incredible generosity,” BGCOR CEO, Derrick Kinsey, said in a statement. “Their support provides an invaluable resource that we can use to help continue building our Camp Fletcher program, teaching our members how to become caring, productive, responsible citizens even in relation to outdoor recreational activities. This incredible donation will enhance our Club experience for students in ways that few other—if any—Clubs in the country are able to do!”
The boat itself, a 26-foot pontoon boat with a 200HP V6 inboard MerCruiser engine, is in excellent condition and has been well-maintained. It includes dual sun canopies, a handicap accessible front gate, an extra-wide captain’s chair, and even a trailer for transport. For the Parris’, it was important not only to support the Club, but to demonstrate to other donors how easy it can be to donate things other than just cash.
“We want people to know that they can give boats, cars, property and so much more to support the Club,” said Randy.
For those interested in donating property of any kind in support of the Club, contacting COO Wyatt Bevis is the first step. Wyatt can be reached at 423-559-8299, extension 101.
